The Post Office Cafe and Bar is locally owned and situated in the historic town of Clyde, Central Otago.

Enjoy lunch or dinner with family, friends or that someone special. We have an expansive menu that offers something for everyone's tastes and everyone's budget. We also have a selection of local wines, fresh baking and great coffee for you to enjoy.

Sit out in the garden bar and breathe in the scent of lavender and roses on a hot summer day or cozy up by the open fire on a cold winters evening, and relish the great ambiance and atmosphere. Our location alongside the river is a favourite for rail trailers to unwind after a hard few days of cycling or to relax

before setting off on their adventure.

Accommodation is also available at The Postmasters House right next door and is the ideal place to stay for those wishing to enjoy an evening out, without the worry of having to travel any further.

Restaurant & Cafe

We are fortunate to be able to offer both indoor and outdoor dining.

We can seat up to 90 people inside and an additional 50 people outside in the garden bar., so we welcome large groups and functions!

We pride ourselves on offering an extensive menu, catering for everyones taste buds, dietary requirements and budget. Our menu begins with brunch/lunch from 10am-12 noon, with lunch finishing at 2.30pm. We then have our snack menu available 2.30 - 5pm with our dinner menu from then on.

We also have available a wide selection of local wines, fresh baking (the best scones in the country we've been told), coffee, beers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages.

For those special occasions, such as weddings, birthdays, Christmas parties etc we are more than happy to discuss menu options and ideas.
